Opalis to Help Microsoft to Deliver Cloud Computing

Altosoft to Provide Opalis Dashboard to Existing and New Customers and Announces BSM Analytics for Microsoft System Center

Cloud Computng Expo - Altosoft, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and the leading provider of process-aware business intelligence solutions, announced that it agreed to offer existing Opalis customers direct access to its Insight Dashboard for Opalis to provide uninterrupted access to its products following the acquisition of Opalis by Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).

Altosoft also announced Insight BSM Analytics for Microsoft System Center, an IT process aware intelligent analytics offering for Microsoft System Center.


The three-day event will attract more than 5,000 delegates from 48 countries and over 120 sponsors on 70,000 sq ft show floor

"Altosoft is honored to take over the responsibility to provide a dashboard to Opalis customers following the acquisition by Microsoft," said Scott Opitz, CEO of Altosoft Corporation. "In addition, we are excited to be the first in the market to provide a combination of IT and business process-aware analytics for Microsoft System Center. Altosoft BSM Analytics for Microsoft System Center and the Insight for Opalis Dashboard presents users with a new capability to enable a single view of how IT processes are executing relative to business processes and SLAs."

Altosoft, whose products were previously private labeled as Opalis Dashboard and resold by Opalis, will now sell its products directly to the combined Opalis and Microsoft System Center installed base of customers. Altosoft will also become a member of the Microsoft System Center Alliance program and expand its offering to include support for the full System Center product family.

"Altosoft's ability to quickly and easily combine data from Opalis, System Center and other data sources and make it available in an operational dashboard will allow our customers to achieve new level of visibility into their IT infrastructure."

Based on the Microsoft .NET platform, Altosoft solutions leverage a variety of Microsoft technologies. Altosoft supports native dashboard and report development both independently using Altosoft's dashboard server or natively in the SharePoint Portal environment. It offers a Microsoft Office integration package that brings real-time access to business data from any data source directly into the Microsoft Office suite. And as a core product capability, Altosoft automatically aggregates and integrates data from disparate sources into an intelligent, open data mart (a "Smart Mart") based on Microsoft SQL Server or other database technologies. These integrated solutions enable organizations to maximize the impact of Microsoft-centric business intelligence to control costs, increase efficiency, and improve productivity.
