The event was attended by Maryland’s State Leadership including the Honorable Governor Martin O’Malley, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown, and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger. The evening outlined Tecore Network’s key position in the global economy as the last US manufacturer of cellular infrastructure. Building on over 20 years of innovation, the new facility provides the foundation for growth and expansion of the company. With solutions delivered around the globe from commercial wireless networks in Alaska to Afghanistan, to tactical communications for the US Military, to Managed Access systems controlling contraband cell phones, the product reach of Tecore Networks is both comprehensive and global.
Governor O’Malley delivered the key note address outlining the positive impact that companies, such as Tecore Networks, have on the economy by adding high-tech jobs right here in Maryland as opposed to many others off-shoring theirs. Specifically, he discussed his continued effort to stop contraband cell phone use in Maryland prisons and applauded Tecore for its groundbreaking iNAC Managed Access system being deployed at the Maryland Transition Center in downtown Baltimore. He continued to emphasize how Managed Access is a key component to the state’s strategy to stop contraband cell phone use and protect and improve public safety.
“Tecore continues to thrive and expand in this economy, and we remain the last U.S. manufacturer in the cellular infrastructure sector,” said Jay Salkini, President and CEO of Tecore. “Along with our new facility inauguration, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we are looking to hire around 20 new talents in different areas. We have worked very hard over the years at Tecore to grow and remain competitive. We look forward to a prosperous future at our new headquarters, helping to bring new technology to Maryland and the rest of the world.”
