ACD Systems Inc. has released ACDSee Video Converter Pro 3, the only tool needed to convert HD video files between the most popular media formats for high quality playback on the iPhone 5, the new iPad, Samsung Galaxy S III, PSP, PS3, and any other mobile and gaming device.
ACDSee Video Converter Pro 3 offers many time-saving features ideal for anyone with a collection of digital videos, including the ability to convert multiple videos to different video formats all in a single session; optimized presets for the most popular media devices; DVD burning and DVD ripping functionality; a convenient YouTube uploader with Facebook and Twitter sharing built right-in; and the ability to extract MP3 audio from video files.
“Your ability to watch and enjoy a video shouldn’t be constrained by the device you have,” said Doug Vandekerkhove, Founder and CEO of ACD Systems. “Whether it’s home videos, YouTube clips, music videos, television shows or movies, we really believe you can set your digital videos free. Within minutes of using our converter, you can take a great HD video from your computer to your new iPad or mobile phone or PS3, and have it look and sound fantastic.”
To convert videos, users simply add a group of videos to a list and choose an output format for each. Pressing the Start button begins the batch conversion of all the videos on the list. The program can be set to close after the conversion is complete, or paused and restarted as desired. In cases when the input video aspect ratio does not match that of the output, the tool will automatically trim the edges of the input video to ensure it takes advantage of the output device’s full screen.
While there are currently several open source programs that offer a degree of this functionality, they are often unreliable and do not cover the same breadth of formats as ACDSee Video Converter Pro 3.
The converter comes with optimized presets for all kinds of portable media devices such as the iPhone 5, the new iPad, Samsung Galaxy S III, Apple TV, PSP and Zune; mobile phones including HTC, Google Nexus One, Motorola, BlackBerry and Nokia; and game consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360. A complete list of supported input and output file formats is available on www.acdsee.com.
ACDSee Video Converter Pro 3 also includes the ability to burn any set of videos, complete with ISO image file, to DVD for playback on NTSC and PAL systems. In addition, users can copy the contents of their DRM-free DVDs to their hard drive in a number of popular video and audio formats, such as MP4, AVI, MOV and WMV, as back-up or for transfer to mobile devices and other media players.
Other features enable users to:
- preview videos
- adjust video volume
- create JPG and BMP images from video frames
- trim videos to extract just the highlights
ACDSee Video Converter Pro 3 is available for purchase at www.acdsee.com for a limited time introductory price of $39.99 USD until November 20, 2012.
