Tango Networks, a leading technology provider that enables enterprises to embrace the power of Mobile Unified Communications with any mobile phone, today announced a key addition to its leadership team with Gilles Allain joining as the Senior Vice President of International Sales. Mr. Allain will lead Tango’s International team to pursue new opportunities with leading mobile operators and enterprises, manage the company’s existing customers, as well as build strategic partnerships and distribution channels.
“Tango Networks is very excited to welcome Gilles to the Tango team,” said Brenda Boehm, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tango Networks. “His experience, relationships, and leadership skills will help guide our international sales team as we continue to expand Tango’s global influence.”
Mobile operators throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia are making a strong push toward the enterprise market, attracting large corporations and small/medium-sized businesses with a variety of services, including Mobile Unified Communications (Mobile UC) – and they need Tango’s unique capabilities to enhance their competitiveness and deliver an increased value add to enterprises. Leading European operators are already using Tango’s technology to integrate their mobile networks with enterprise telephony systems in order to deliver advanced Mobile UC services.
"I look forward to further introducing Tango’s proven Mobile Unified Communications solution to Tier 1 carriers worldwide,” stated Mr. Allain. “Our partnerships with large infrastructure equipment providers and enterprise value-added resellers will help to significantly grow our customers so that they can grow their enterprise market share and revenue."
Mr. Allain has more than 20 years of international business leadership in the mobile telecommunications industry, spanning core and radio networks, embedded software, mobile phones, and applications. Prior to joining Tango Networks, he was the Vice President of Global Sales at BroadHop, and held leadership positions at Cellon, Symbian, and Nokia Networks. Mr. Allain began his career in R&D at Ericsson. Mr. Allain holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the French INSA, an MBA from the Sorbonne Graduate Business School (Paris, France), and is an alumnus from the IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland).
