Following its launch earlier this week, The People’s Operator (TPO) today announces growing momentum throughout the UK, signing Unite the Union and Trinity Hospice as Strategic Partners. With these new additions, along with NSPCC, Trussell Trust, ChildLine and other organisations announced at launch, TPO has already extended its reach to 3.5 million potential subscribers throughout the UK.
Strategic Partners will benefit by receiving 10% of the call, text or data spend of any subscribers that they sign up to the TPO service. Having signed a subscriber, Strategic Partners also have a unique opportunity to provide further information on how their donations are being spent, should the subscriber wish to receive it.
Alex Franks, Chief Executive, TPO, said: “We are very proud to add Unite and Trinity Hospice to our growing list of partners. These organisations work tirelessly on behalf of their members and supporters up and down the country. Our partners play an important role in helping us to deliver scale and market penetration. They also help us to take the message out to the UK public that there’s an easy way to support causes. We have been amazed at the great response that we have received from causes and organisations across the country since we launched.”
Notes to editors
Unite
Unite works with UK employers and employees. Representing 1.5 million members it seeks to build successful businesses and safe, healthy working environments. Today, Len McCluskey, Unite general secretary, said:
“This partnership with TPO is a great call for Unite members. Like every other ordinary household in the land, our 1.5 million members are going through tough times. So a cost-saving mobile phone service that allows them the chance to chat to their family and friends for free will be a very welcome early Christmas gift, and the pain-free give to good causes is a bonus many will appreciate.
“We want to build on this now, to bring smart phone and digital technology to our members, making Unite the most connected union in the land.”
Trinity Hospice
Trinity Hospice's skilled, compassionate end of life care helps patients, and their families and carers, to regain the confidence they need to live every moment. They care for people in central and south west London communities with many different types of illness. Rose Tyler, Community and Corporate Fundraiser at Trinity commented:
“Trinity Business partnerships are vital in enabling us to provide skilled end of life care, free of charge, to over 2,000 people in the local community. Without the support of fresh, innovative companies such as TPO this would not be possible.”
