LOS ANGELES, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- This regime has safeguarded me against illness for ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR.... and if you know anything about my history THAT'S AMAZING (even despite my mom, brother, and girlfriend getting sick multiple times!). I used to be sick a few times A MONTH. Can you say: MIRACLE?

5 Prophylactic Measures You Can Implement IMMEDIATELY!
Here are some prophylactic measure you can take to KEEP YOURSELF HEALTHY this flu season! Some may sound trite... but they're ALL important. Remember, these measures are PROPHYLACTIC because they're supposed to PREVENT you from getting sick in the first place. It's A LOT EASIER to just NOT GET SICK than it is to CURE an illness... An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure -- remember this!
1: REMOVE THE RISK! The first step is, of course, don't expose yourself to germs! More often than not -- it is IMPOSSIBLE... so we needn't dwell on it. However, there are precautions to LIMITING the risk -- like for example wearing a surgical mask if you're going into a place with many ill people, wearing gloves, or not kissing, sharing drinks, or even air-space with someone sniffling. If you really want to go all out -- buy a bubble like bubble boy's... if there is no threat, there is no risk -- but what who doesn't like to live at least A LITTLE dangerously?
2: CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS. I cannot stress the importance of this: wash your hands! Anything we touch can be infected with germs. All it takes is for us to bring these germs to our sensitive regions in order to get sick. Here's how it happens: Some one sneezes into their hand. Wipes it off (barely). Touches the knob on a door (or shakes your hand). You touch the door handle (or shake their hand). You scratch your head, rub your eyes, pick your nose, hold too high on the straw, eat a sandwich... and VOILA! Purell is an excellent product to have around during this time (get a pocket version from a gas station next time you stop and use the infected pump handle)... I'm not exactly sure how effective it is (99.9% of the irrelevant germs makes it 100% useless), however, for at least the placebo effect its worth it until you can wash up.
3: LOVE AND LAUGH! Before he died, Ed McMahon said to me: "without laughter, what's the point?" For some reason I don't think he understood -- I kept repeating it and he kept correcting me. I'm not even sure if that's the right quote. But who the hell cares? -- I can just imagine my serious, enquiring face twisting: BUT ED, I THOUGHT YOU JUST SAID.... and I HAD missed the point! You see, the greatest mistake most people make when they're sad is not smile. It's counter-intuitive: but that's the point. Stretching means: if you CAN'T, you MUST. If you can't smile... then smiling is the most important thing for you right now. It's hard to feel good when we're sick -- but, then again, happy people don't get sick (just google search it if you don't believe me!). Feel better FASTER -- or buttress your immune system -- by smiling, speaking to people who make you feel loved, watching funny movies, meditate, breathe -- do anything you can to eliminate stress and dissolve tension, accessing your inner state of peace and positivity.
4: DO NOT PASS GO. DO NOT COLLECT $200. JUST SLEEP. The WORST mistake people make in these situations is NOT SLEEPING. The moment you feel like you've been "exposed" -- or you're vulnerable -- is the moment you need to start sleeping AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Think about it like this: if your cell-phone battery is fully charged, then you can take calls all day and respond to emergencies. But, say, your cell-phone battery is only half charged or not charged at all... then if our phone dies during the day and there's an emergency: guess what? We're SOL. Sleeping is the same as recharging our battery. It's not just important... it's NECESSARY! Also -- for times like this, OVERCHARGED is CERTAINLY more ideal than an UNDERCHARGED.
5: CALL IN THE REINFORCEMENTS! There are a few heavy-hitters that I turn to when I'm in need of extra defense. The first is Vitamin C -- I use a top quality, organic, natural source product... and I take A LOT of it. I once asked Gabriel Cousens when I should start worrying about taking too much vitamin C (when I'm sick) -- Are you taking 100,000 mg? he asked. Enough said. The next is Zinc. After that Silver. There are more ideas for this on the other post... you don't need to go OVERBOARD -- but imagine there's a war going on in your system. The more guys you have on your team to outnumber theirs, the quicker your going to win the battle... A big army can crush the tiny fledglings of an uncoordinated insurgency - but the longer things are allowed to develop, the harder they get to stop: as Lao Tzu says, "no country has ever benefited from a protracted war." Take this to heart and end it quickly. Imagine pro-actively dealing with illness like you deal with a stain: the quicker you catch it the easier the clean-up... grab that champagne flute while it's still falling!
