SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RelayRides, the nation's first and largest peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace, announced today that Scott Kinzie and Tom Wang have joined the company as Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Product, respectively. Following a banner year for RelayRides, in which the San Francisco-based startup further reinforced its category leadership with a nationwide launch through its exclusive partnership with General Motors, Kinzie and Wang join to facilitate the brand's expansion and growth of in 2013.

In his role, Kinzie will be responsible for building RelayRides' overall brand awareness through innovative and scalable marketing campaigns, customer engagement and conversion strategies. As consumers increasingly tap into the collaborative consumption model to gain access to mobility while avoiding high costs of ownership, Kinzie and his team will look to further communicate the accessibility, environmental and financial benefits of peer-to-peer car sharing to a mass audience.
Wang will be responsible for the end-to-end consumer experience and providing world-class community tools to facilitate car sharing within the growing RelayRides marketplace. With growing awareness of RelayRides' unique value and selection, Wang and his team will focus on new innovations in car discoverability, reputation systems and expansion into new platforms.

Prior to his time at Babycenter.com, Mr. Kinzie also served as creative director at Public Engines and Ancestry.com.
Wang's extensive background in creating world-class Internet and mobile products includes product leadership roles at major public companies, such as America Online and Nokia, and groundbreaking Silicon Valley start-ups such as Formspring, Spinner and Organic.
Both executives will report directly to Andre Haddad, RelayRides' Chief Executive Officer.
