SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/13 -- Zultys, a premier provider of innovative unified communications solutions that empower businesses to collaborate effectively, today has announced the release of Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0, available to download from the Google Play Store now. Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0 brings the built-in SIP softphone function to the Android platform among many other great improvements. The softphone feature, available over Wi-Fi connection, enables cost savings to businesses everywhere by greatly reducing phone charges while increasing productivity by providing employees with essential tools.
The Zultys Mobile Communicators application, also available for iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry, provides remote and mobile employees with the same Unified Communication benefits as their in office colleagues. Zultys Mobile Communicator allows mobile workers to access their company's phone directory, view co-workers availability, and even send secure chat messages directly from the application, along with a myriad of other innovative features. Zultys Mobile Communicator provides users all the means of staying in touch with their colleagues from their mobile device.
With the release of Zultys Mobile Communicator 2.0, Zultys makes the cost-saving softphone available to their Android users. Rather than using costly paid minutes to make business calls, employees can now connect to a Wi-Fi network and use the softphone option to make voice calls over the internet connection. Substituting for voice network charges with a Wi-Fi connection results in great savings for businesses and their employees; including the ability to completely eliminate roaming and international charges associated with regular voice calls.
"With today's growing mobile work force, having the ability to use your smartphone in the same way as your office desk phone gives employees the ability to be more efficient than ever before," said Steve Francis, Zultys Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. "With Zultys Mobile version 2.0, the ability to save real dollars on mobile phone bills and the addition of new features makes this a reality. Zultys continues to deliver leading edge, productivity enhancing applications to businesses and organizations around the world."
Version 2.0 of Zultys Mobile Communicator for Android is now available as a free download from the Google Play Store. A mobile access license from Zultys is required. Existing users of the Zultys Mobile Communicator for Android can download the upgrade at any time. Zultys MX system running MX Release 7.2.4 or later firmware is required.
