WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pervasip Corp.'s (OTCQB: PVSP) wholly-owned subsidiary, Vox Communications, a cloud-based voice and video communications solutions, apps and services provider, has signed a contract with P2PCash that allows P2PCash to sell Vox's VoIP service in the form of "BitMinutes." When consumers buy BitMinutes from P2PCash, they can use any phone in the U.S. or Canada to make low cost calls by dialing into the VoX VoIP platform via an 800 number.
This access is open to any phone, including mobile phones, without an application involved. A subscriber signs up for BitMinutes from P2PCash, sets up their account and dials with BitMinutes to save money on calling any U.S. or Canadian number.
VoX's Chief Information Officer, Mark Richards, noted, "We believe in the concept of BitMinutes. This new contract with P2P adds to our continued efforts to partner with multiple mobile wallet companies and find creative ways to bring customers to our VoIP platform. In this particular instance, the target audience is not an Android app user or an iPhone app user. Instead, it is everyone with a landline or mobile phone that wants to save money on the calling rates offered by their incumbent carrier, whether it be a wireless carrier, cable company or other VoIP company."
"In our industry, we sometimes refer to this calling technique as pinless dialing," continued Richards. The P2P subscribers sign up for a P2P account and their phone number is passed to the VoX platform instantly allowing them to dial into an 800 number to make inexpensive VoIP calls from any phone, even from another VoIP provider."
P2PCash's President and CEO, Tom Meredith, added, "We are excited to work with VoX. We have found that the VoX platform offers significant flexibility and superb voice quality. We believe it will be a great fit with our innovative marketing techniques that include sweepstakes and gaming, so that we can attract a variety of subscribers to VoX, who ordinarily may not notice all the money they can save by using the VoX VoIP service. We are also pleased to note that we believe we will work with VoX, at a later date, with various avenues of enhanced content, which will help us to attract additional customers to the VoX network."
