Broadvox, a leading provider of Managed Business VoIP services, has issued a new Feature Guide for Managed Hosted Voice to help businesses understand the value of the advanced features that come with their Hosted Voice service. These features increase employee productivity and address core communication frustrations shared by businesses. This guide was developed to help educate existing users as well as prospects on the value of Hosted Voice to help businesses work smarter.
According to recent studies, current business VoIP users identified their top three communication frustrations as:
1. Waiting on information
2. Locating and contacting someone
3. Using email as a communication tool
The Broadvox guide, Feature Guide for Managed Hosted Voice, identifies six advanced features that address many of these common frustrations. The guide has also organized these features by user-type since some features are more popular among mobile workers versus workers who are tied to their desk.
For example, locating and contacting someone in today’s world of mobility is a frustration for most everyone. With Hosted Voice Fixed Mobile Convergence, a VoIP user can integrate their Hosted Voice service with any number of phones such as a mobile phone and home office line. This integration allows the user to receive incoming calls to their VoIP phone number on all of their linked phones. They can also make outbound calls from any linked phone and have the same primary business number appear on caller ID, and can also access a single voicemail box directly from any linked device. The feature also enables the seamless transfer of active calls from one linked device to another. That means that if a user is in the middle of an important call at their desk but need to leave for a meeting, they can simply transfer the call to their mobile device and keep talking on the way. The ability to use one number means that users no longer have to hand out their cell, direct, and home office phone numbers. And customers and employees only have to remember a single number. Additionally, with features such as Find Me/Follow Me and Advanced Call Routing, users can ensure that they receive all calls automatically and don’t have to play phone tag.
All of the Managed Hosted Voice key features outlined in the Broadvox guide are designed to facilitate collaboration and help individuals work smarter. “Hosted Voice is a service well-known for reducing the cost of a phone system, especially for small-to-medium sized businesses,” said Arnaud Gautier, EVP Product Development and Customer Experience at Broadvox. “What is not well understood are the advanced calling features that save users time and increase their overall productivity. With this new guide, we hope to help users take advantage of the wide range of features that come with their Managed Hosted Voice service.”
Other advanced features include Microsoft Outlook Integration, and Voicemail-to-Text transcription. With Microsoft Outlook Integration, email becomes a main communication tool that enables click-to-dial functionality to a user’s contact list. A user can also accept, redirect, or ignore calls and view detailed call logs – all directly from within the familiar Microsoft Outlook interface. Plus, Managed Hosted Voice offers the option to receive your voicemail messages in your email inbox, either as audio file attachments or text transcriptions. This feature enables busy executives to check their voice messages while in meetings just the same way they check voice mail – without the distraction of dialing into voicemail and listening to messages.
