(NASDAQ: SYMM), líder mundial en precisión de tiempo y tecnologías de frecuencia, ha presentado hoy su nueva cartera de Edge Master Clocks diseñada específicamente para los despliegues de pequeñas células para redes 3G y 4G/LTE. Symmetricom TimeProvider® 2700 y 2300 Edge Master Clocks son la primera oferta de la industria de soluciones de sincronización optimizadas que despliega un tiempo preciso en el límite de la red, prestando apoyo a los despliegues de pequeñas células y mejorando la experiencia de los servicios móviles para los usuarios finales.  

Según el nuevo Visual Networking Index (VNI) de Cisco® para tráfico móvil, el tráfico móvil mundial está previsto que crezca a una tasa anual compuesta del 66% para los próximos cinco años, duplicándose en 13 veces para el año 2017. En apoyo a la creciente demanda de datos móviles, los principales proveedores inalámbricos están desplegando pequeñas células para acelerar la capacidad y mejorar la cobertura en las áreas metropolitanas en las que las personas se congregan en estos eventos deportivos, compras y distritos de restauración.

"Al avanzar dentro de la capacidad maestra del reloj y llevarla hasta el fin se ayuda a satisfacer varios requisitos que los operadores móviles nos indican son vitales para mejorar el despliegue de servicio y rendimiento al límite de la red en la que el ancho de banda más se necesita".

Los operadores móviles se benefician de los despliegues de pequeñas células por medio del suministro de una cobertura aumentada y capacidad para los usuarios finales al tiempo que maximiza un uso eficaz de los recursos de espectro escasos. El tiempo preciso y sincronización aseguran un despliegue del aumento de la capacidad en red y la cobertura, siendo vital para el despliegue de éxito de las pequeñas células.

TimeProvider 2700 y 2300 Edge Master Clocks son soluciones de sincronización IEEE 1588 (PTP) designadas para cumplir con los requisitos de despliegue de las pequeñas células en redes actuales por medio de la localización de un grandmaster en o cerca del límite, o supervisando la red con relojes de enlace avanzados en localizaciones específicas. Permiten a las redes de proveedores de portadores el suministro de requisitos difíciles LTE-TDD y LTE-A para frecuencia y sincronización de fase sin tener que sustituir el equipamiento existente en la red de respaldo. En las redes sincronizadas de frecuencia (LTE-FDD, además de 2G/3G), Edge Master Clocks se pueden desplegar para eliminar los problemas de tiempo causados por los entornos de la red de respaldo y el retraso elevado del paquete (PDV) inherentes a las redes Carrier Ethernet.

TimeProvider 2700 y 2300 Edge Master Clocks proporcionan una fiabilidad de servicio, flexibilidad de despliegue y capacidad de gestión unificada. La capacidad de múltiple sincronización asegura una continuidad del servicio en caso de pérdida de una o más de las señales de señalización primaria o en caso de que la señal GNSS se vea comprometida. La solución también se ha optimizado para el despliegue entre pequeñas y grandes redes con opciones de licencia compatibles entre 8 y 64 estaciones de base y/o células pequeñas, permitiendo una escalabilidad en red.
