MoneySupermarket, the UKs number one comparison site has today (28 February, 2013) launched a competition for wedding bloggers to find out the best money saving tips for tying the knot on a budget without sacrificing the things that are important to them for the big day.
With the average wedding cost in the UK reaching over £16,000*, brides all over the UK need to get clever with their cash to make it stretch further so they can have their dream wedding. For many women their wedding day is something they have been fantasising about and planning since they were a young girl. Newly-weds or brides to be who have stretched their budget to fund their dream wedding can share their money saving tips and creative ideas. One lucky winner will receive £400 worth of John Lewis vouchers. From making your own stationary or wedding cake, enlisting friends to take your photos to buying a second hand dress or even having a picnic for your reception meal, your top money saving tips could earn you even more funds.
To enter the competition, write a short blog detailing how you saved money on your big day or how you are planning on saving money when you get married. Include as many cash saving-tips and ideas as well as listing your top 10 most important spends for your day such as photographer, food, entertainment or rings. Competition closes 29th, March, 2012.
