MANCHESTER, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/11/06 -- Lydall, Inc. (NYSE: LDL) - Lydall Industrial Thermal Solutions, Inc., makers of Affinity® re-circulating chillers and heat exchangers, today announced the release of an advanced chiller design configured for world-wide applications.
Lydall's newest chiller includes a variable frequency drive to compensate for differences in voltage supply around the world, is manufactured to Semi S-2 standards, and has a sealed reservoir to allow placement up to 49 feet below a process.
Lydall's advanced chiller design also employs a brazed-plate heat exchanger to provide faster response, tighter temperature control and a smaller footprint, up to 30 percent smaller than the current market leader. The new chiller removes 10,000 Watts at 20 degrees C in both 50 and 60 Hertz environments and provides 10 gpm with 40 psi available in a 60 Hz environment and 8 gpm with 40 psi available in a 50 Hz environment. Its refrigerant is environmentally friendly (HFC R-134a), and dry contact alarms as well as RS-485 communications are available for interlocking to a process.
